for those crazy people we call "rowers" or "coxswains" who get up at 3 in the morning to come to a regatta, where they race until they puke(mulitple times), in the hot sun, or the snow, the ones who get up before the sun does, to go to morning practice, the first of at least two practices a day, the ones who are always tired and drained, do crazy things like erg, know fully what hell is like (ERGS), the ones who get more accomplished by 10 am then most people get done in a day, the ones who work, and the ones who give blood, sweat, and tears all for the feeling of crossing that finish line first, and wouldn't rather be doing anything else
I was informed today that the new novice coxn’s on my high school team went to novice day, in shorts and t-shirts, in April, in Maine. The fuck they were thinking I have no idea. BUT it inspired me to make this for them so that they can stop trying to look cute and freezing their buns off and get down to business. Enjoy!
